The 16th-century villa that now houses the hotel belonged to the noble Foscarini family, one of Venice's oldest and most prestigious dynasties. Located on the Venetian mainland, that area for a long time was part of the Serenissima Republic, which extended its influence not only by sea but also inland, managing and enhancing agricultural and productive areas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The mansion was not only an aristocratic retreat, but also a testament to the Venetian strategy of owning and enhancing the villas of the \u201cdominion from the land,\u201d where patrician families established residences, administered estates, and asserted their relevance in the territory.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The building is characterized by an architectural style with very simple lines: square-plan and three-story, the fa\u00e7ade is adorned with a small balcony topped by a small tympanum, while along the ground floor runs a faux ashlar that lends elegance and solidity without weighing down the forms.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Over the centuries the villa has changed several owners, including the Giustinian, Andrighetti, Bianchi and Palma families, and in the early 20th century it was the operational headquarters of the XII Army Corps of the Arditi of the Royal Italian Army during World War I. This layered past makes the building a place where history, society, economy and culture overlap, offering today a regenerated and contemporary environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Situata nella terraferma veneziana, quell\u2019area per lungo tempo ha fatto parte della Repubblica Serenissima, che estendeva la propria influenza non solo via mare ma anche sull\u2019entroterra, gestendo e valorizzando le zone agricole e produttive. La dimora non era solo un rifugio aristocratico, ma anche una testimonianza della strategia veneziana di possedere e valorizzare le ville del \u201cdominio da terra\u201d, dove le famiglie patrizie stabilivano residenze, amministravano le tenute e affermavano la propria rilevanza sul territorio. L\u2019edificio si caratterizza per uno stile architettonico dalle linee molto semplici: a pianta quadrata e a tre piani, la facciata \u00e8 ornata da un balconcino sovrastato da un piccolo timpano, mentre lungo il piano terra corre un finto bugnato che conferisce eleganza e solidit\u00e0 senza appesantire le forme. Nel corso dei secoli la villa ha cambiato vari proprietari, tra cui le famiglie Giustinian, Andrighetti, Bianchi e Palma, e all\u2019inizio del Novecento \u00e8 stata sede operativa del corpo della XII Armata degli Arditi del Regio Esercito Italiano durante il primo conflitto mondiale. Questo passato stratificato rende l\u2019edificio un luogo in cui storia, societ\u00e0, economia e cultura si sovrappongono, offrendo oggi un ambiente rigenerato e contemporaneo.
